Q . Does the District Vision Plan cover Laser Vision Surgery?
No. Currently the District's Vision Plan does not cover laser vision surgery. It is considered elective surgery only.
Q . What are the specific benefits of the various health plans?
Capistrano Unified School District is a member of the Metropolitan Employees Benefits Association (MEBA), an employer/employee jointly managed benefits trust. The District’s medical benefits are purchased through MEBA. The current plans are underwritten by Blue Cross and Kaiser Permanente.
