1. Vicki preview “Board Watch” which will bring the news of the CUSD School Board to CUEA members.

2. Vicki invited those present to recruit ethnic minority teachers to attend a CTA training.

V. Treasurer's Report Norm Heidner - Treasurer

Vicki Soderberg and Norm Heidner suggested that we look at two alternative CUEA budgets for next year – one with potentially “riffed” membership still paying dues and the other budget without their dues.

VII. Executive Directors Report

Christine Balentine discussed the legislative Republicans' special session budget plan. She emphasized the seriousness of the size of the proposed budget cuts.

X. Negotiations - Sally White, Head Negotiator

Sally White reported that there will be a meeting held with CUSD in January to discuss how we would reformulate our contract proposal.

1. Associate Staff 008/09 Contract Agreement – postponed
2. Holiday Appreciation Gifts – Debra Sheehan moved and Joy Kelly seconded that CUEA appropriate not more than $300 for holiday appreciation gifts. Motion passed unanimously.
